Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Java Selenium Automation Tester with 6 to 9 years of dedicated experience to join our dynamic Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid track record in designing, developing, and implementing robust automation frameworks, and executing comprehensive UI test cases across multiple browsers and platforms. You will be instrumental in driving automation efforts, ensuring the highest quality of our web applications through efficient and effective testing strategies.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Automation Script Development & Maintenance : Design, develop, and maintain efficient, robust, and reusable Selenium automation scripts for UI testing of complex web applications using Java.
  • Test Case Management : Create, review, and meticulously execute detailed test plans, comprehensive test scenarios, and precise test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Requirements Collaboration : Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to thoroughly understand new features, gather requirements, and ensure complete test coverage.
  • Framework Contribution : Actively contribute to the enhancement and evolution of existing automation frameworks, adhering to best practices such as Page Object Model, Hybrid Frameworks, and other industry-standard test architectures.
  • Automation Coverage & Robustness : Drive efforts to maximize automation coverage, ensuring test scripts are resilient to UI changes and deliver consistent, reliable results.
  • Defect Lifecycle Management : Participate actively in defect triage meetings, accurately track defects through their lifecycle, and collaborate with development teams for timely resolution and retesting.
  • CI / CD Integration : Integrate automated test suites with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI / CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, enabling automated execution and rapid feedback loops.
  • Reporting & Analysis : Analyze test results, generate clear and concise automation execution reports, and communicate quality metrics and potential risks to stakeholders.
  • Mentorship & Best Practices : Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the QA team.
  • Cross-Browser / Platform Testing : Ensure developed automation scripts are compatible and effective across various browsers and operating systems.

Skills Required :

  • Experience : 6-9 years of hands-on experience in Java Selenium Automation Testing.
  • UI Automation : Expert-level proficiency with Selenium WebDriver for automated Web UI Testing.
  • Programming Language : Strong, demonstrable experience in Java for writing test automation scripts.
  • Testing Frameworks : In-depth knowledge and practical experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG and JUnit.
  • BDD Frameworks : Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber.
  • Build Tools : Proficient in using Maven for build automation and dependency management.
  • DevOps & Version Control : Hands-on experience with Git and GitHub for source code management and contributing to CI / CD pipelines.
  • Test Architecture : Strong understanding and practical implementation experience with Framework Development, specifically Hybrid Framework and Page Object Model.
  • Test Roles : Prior experience in roles such as Automation Tester, QA Engineer, SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test), or Software Test Engineer.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a key contributor within an Agile / Scrum team.
