Responsibilities-

  • . Project Management and Execution on Jira Boards

Own the day-to-day management of multiple project boards within Jira, serving as the central hub for all project work.

Facilitate and manage the entire lifecycle of tickets, ensuring tasks are correctly created, detailed, prioritized, and transitioned across the workflow (e.g., To Do, In Progress, Review, Done).

Actively monitor all project progress on Jira boards, identifying and escalating potential roadblocks, dependencies, or scope creep to the relevant Project Manager.

Conduct regular grooming sessions with teams to maintain a clear, accurate, and up-to-date backlog and board.

2. Timeline and Data Integrity Management

Keep all project timelines current by accurately tracking ticket estimates, actual time spent, and due dates within Jira.

Proactively audit tickets to ensure they have the necessary details, correct status, and align with project milestones and deadlines.

Ensure all team members are using the Jira workflow and logging time consistently to maintain the integrity of project data.

3. Reporting and Dashboard Creation

Design, build, and maintain actionable Jira reports and dashboards that clearly visualize project status, team velocity, burndown rates, and task distribution.

Provide timely and accurate project summaries based on Jira data, highlighting key accomplishments and potential risks.

4. Communication and Stakeholder Liaison

Serve as the primary communication bridge between technical teams and senior Project Managers (PMs).

Communicate project status, risks, and timeline adjustments clearly and concisely to PMs and stakeholders on a routine basis.

Schedule and facilitate necessary project meetings (stand-ups, retrospectives, planning sessions) and track resulting action items in Jira.

Ensure that all teams are aligned on project goals, priorities, and deadlines as reflected in the Jira board.

Requirements-

6+ years of experience managing and coordinating projects, with a focus on using Jira as the primary project management tool.

Expert-level proficiency in using Jira Software, specifically managing and optimizing Scrum and Kanban boards.

Proven ability to track and maintain accurate project timelines and ticket hygiene for multiple concurrent projects.

Strong experience in generating detailed Jira reports and dashboards using JQL and standard reporting widgets.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate progress and issues to both technical teams and Project Managers.

Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
