The Enterprise Management Team

Okta's Auth0, powered by Auth0 technology, is an easy-to-implement authentication and authorization platform designed by developers for developers. We make access to applications safe, secure, and seamless for the more than 100 million daily logins around the world. Our modern approach to identity enables this Tier-Ø global service to deliver convenience, privacy, and security so customers can focus on innovation.

In order to achieve that, the team focuses mainly on three different themes : Account Governance , Team Management , and Team Security . If you are a problem solver who cares about having a meaningful impact on customers and enjoys working as part of a collaborative, distributed team, then this position could be perfect for you! We work with NodeJS, Typescript, React, and Postgres / MongoDB databases and our services run on both AWS and Azure.

Location : Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

Work Mode : Hybrid (2-3 days Onsite per week)

Note : This role requires in-person onboarding and travel to our Bengaluru, IN office during the first week of employment.

The Staff Engineer Opportunity

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role contributes to the overall mission of the team of enhancing the developer journey by designing and implementing meaningful, secure and collaborative features that create an enterprise ready experience for our customers, with a focus on improving the user experience while achieving engineering excellence.

You will also contribute to the improvements of our team delivery and collaboration processes and support other colleagues, their growth and the overall maturity of our team.

As part of your day to day work in this role, you'll also find opportunities to support cross functional / cross domain initiatives that have impact beyond our team's subdomain and contribute to higher level company goals.

You Will

• Be part of a diverse and collaborative team consisting of engineers, a product manager and a designer.
• Provide technical direction to the team, detecting technical improvement opportunities and taking action to design and implement them.
• Mentor or coach other engineers to support their growth and bring them along
• Design and develop features, APIs, and fixes to handle our current and future scale.
• Help our customers have a great experience with our products.
• Be a strong independent contributor.
• Participate in and help improve the team's agile process.
• Engage with the support team as the last level of escalation for tickets.
