Job Title : Control-M Engineer

Work Location : Bengaluru

Experience : 8 - 10 Years

Job Description : Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Control-M Scheduler to design, build, test, and support complex batch scheduling solutions across both Distributed and Mainframe environments.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Control-M (including EM, Control-D, and Control-B), deep knowledge of Z / OS, and a passion for automation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, build, and test robust Control-M schedules for Distributed and Mainframe systems.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand and implement complex business requirements.
  • Perform technical reviews, process analysis, and identify areas for automation and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain in-house automation tools and utilities.
  • Provide batch support for both Mainframe and Distributed Control-M environments.
  • Ensure adherence to Change Management, Incident Management, and scheduling standards.
  • Maintain procedural documentation for operational excellence.
  • Mentor junior team members and share technical best practices.

Required Skills & Experience (Must Have) :

  • Proven experience in managing large, complex, integrated environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in :
  • Control-M EM (Distributed) scheduling.
  • Control-M, Control-D, and Control-B (Mainframe) scheduling.
  • IBM Mainframe (Z / OS) including JES2, ISPF, TSO, JCL, REXX, Connect : Direct, FileAid.
  • Endeavor code management tool.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite.
  • Solid understanding of Risk and Change Management processes.
  • Strong analytical skills for process and workflow analysis.

    • Good To Have Skills :

  • ServiceNow (Change and Incident Management modules).
  • JIRA for project and issue tracking.
  • Automation scripting experience (e.g., REXX, Python, PowerShell).
  • Reporting and Analysis experience for batch operations.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint / DocShare for documentation and collaboration.
