About the role
We’re a US-based services company looking for a hands-on SEO Specialist to grow qualified traffic and conversions across service pages. You’ll own on-page optimization, technical SEO, internal linking, local SEO, and content briefs—shipping experiments and measurable wins fast.
What you’ll do
Plan & prioritize : Create a simple quarterly SEO plan tied to traffic, rankings, and lead goals.
Keyword research : Find and group keywords, map them to pages, and spot gaps for new pages.
On-page SEO : Write / optimize titles, metas, H1–H3s, copy, FAQs, images (names / alt), and internal links.
Technical SEO : Improve Core Web Vitals (with focus on INP), fix indexing / canonicals, sitemaps, site speed, and crawl issues.
Structured data : Add / maintain schema (Organization, LocalBusiness, Service, FAQ, HowTo, Breadcrumb, Review).
Local SEO : Manage Google Business Profile, citations, NAP consistency, review strategy.
Content briefs : Give clear briefs to writers with intent, outline, keywords, and E-E-A-T cues.
Links & PR : Support safe link growth through useful content and relevant outreach (no spam).
Reporting : Track results in GA4 and GSC;s; share monthly wins and next steps.
Experiment : A / B or simple before / after tests for titles, content blocks, internal links, and page speed changes.

Keyword & Intent Research : Clustering, page mapping, gap analysis for new service / location pages.

Technical SEO : Core Web Vitals (with emphasis on INP), indexing / canonicals, sitemaps, crawl budget, mobile UX.
Information Architecture : Hub-and-spoke structures, breadcrumbs, scalable navigation.
Structured Data : JSON-LD for Organization, LocalBusiness, Service, FAQ, HowTo, Breadcrumb, Review.
Local SEO (if applicable) : GBP management, citations, NAP hygiene, review strategy, UTM tracking.
Analytics & Experimentation : GA4 / GSC diagnostics, before / after & simple A / B tests.
Content Collaboration : Clear SEO briefs (intent, entities, E-E-A-T), SEO QA before publish.
Link Earning : Plan useful assets and safe outreach / DPR; maintain a low-risk link profile.
Tool Utilization (Fluent With)
Research & Tracking : Ahrefs or Semrush; Google Search Console; rank tracking as needed.
Crawling & Tech : Screaming Frog (custom extraction, JS rendering), log analyzers, Lighthouse / PageSpeed Insights.
Analytics & Reporting : GA4 (events / conversions), basic forecasting.
Local SEO : Google Business Profile, BrightLocal and etc.

AI Overviews / SGE Readiness : Build task-complete service pages, strengthen entities, and use schema to be cited / selected.
E-E-A-T & Entity SEO : Expert signals, About / Reviews / Policy pages, author bios, and consistent brand / service entities.
Zero-Click SERPs Strategy : Win eligibility (schema, concise answers) while optimizing snippets for CTR where links still show.
