Position : Counsellor – MPH (Johns Hopkins University Cooperative Program)

Role Overview : The Counsellor – MPH (JHU Cooperative Program) will be responsible for promoting, counselling, and facilitating admissions for the prestigious Master of Public Health (MPH) program offered in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University, USA. The role involves engaging with prospective students across India and SAARC countries, providing end-to-end guidance throughout the admission process, and ensuring a seamless experience in alignment with international academic standards.

Qualification : Master’s degree in public health, Marketing, International Education, or related field.

Required Skills :

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with global education systems, international admission platforms (e.g., SOPHAS), and credential evaluation processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Culturally sensitive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple leads simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for outreach and recruitment activities.
  • Strategic thinker with a result-oriented approach.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with international partners.

Required Experience : 2–5 years of relevant experience in student counselling, international education, or global admissions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Counsel prospective students and working professionals about the IIHMRU–JHU MPH program, its structure, eligibility, and global career prospects.
  • Manage enquiries through inbound and outbound calls, emails, and online platforms.
  • Guide applicants through the entire admission process, including eligibility verification, documentation, and application submission via global portals (e.g., SOPHAS).
  • Support candidates in preparing Statements of Purpose (SOPs), credential evaluations (WES / ECE), and other international requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of enquiries, leads, and conversions through the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with the academic and marketing teams to plan and execute student recruitment and outreach strategies.
  • Assist in organizing and participating in webinars, educational fairs, campus visits, and virtual information sessions.
  • Track and analyze admission trends, conversion ratios, and provide regular reports to the Admissions Head.
  • Ensure timely communication with Johns Hopkins University counterparts for applicant coordination and program updates.
