Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java and Spring Boot. Drive system design and architecture discussions for new and existing services. Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices. Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end features. Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability. Participate in code reviews, ensure code quality, and mentor junior engineers when needed. Identify performance bottlenecks and design robust solutions. Quickly ramp up on new technologies, business domains, and codebases. Contribute to improving development processes, automation, and CI / CD pipelines Area of Responsibility : The engineers will contribute to Engineering Excellence initiatives, driving technical improvements and best practices across multiple Payments teams at Uber. This includes working on scalable, cross-cutting solutions that deliver long-term value
