Responsibilities :

We are seeking a Life Cycle Assessment Specialist to lead environmental impact analyses with a focus on Visy packaging products (paper / fibre packaging, plastics, glass, aluminium and steel products) and services (automation, logistics), using lifecycle methodologies to benchmark products and sustainability performance, guide decarbonization strategies and circular economy transitions. This role requires expertise in packaging material flows, Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs), Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), and design-for-sustainability principles. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in LCA and related sustainability fields, with strong technical expertise in LCA methodologies and software tools.

Specific responsibilities include :

• Conduct ISO 14040 / 44 complaint packaging-specific life cycle assessments (LCAs) and product carbon footprints (PCFs) or Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).
• Develop ISO-compliant reports (e.g., ISO 14044, ISO 14067) and manage third-party validations for LCAs, PCFs and EPDs.
• Data Collection & Management : Gather primary and secondary data, including supplier information ensuring accuracy and completeness for robust sustainability assessments.
• LCA Software Proficiency : Utilize industry-standard LCA tools such as SimaPro, GaBi, OpenLCA, or OneClick LCA to model product life cycles and assess environmental impacts.
• Regulatory & Standards Compliance : Stay up to date with evolving sustainability regulations, frameworks, and industry standards, ensuring all assessments meet compliance requirements.
• Reporting & Communication : Present findings in clear and actionable reports, supporting corporate sustainability strategies and certification submissions
