Azure SQL Database Engineer

Jare seeking a skilled SQL Azure Development DBA with strong expertise in database development, administration, and optimization within the Azure cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and performance tuning for large-scale enterprise applications.

Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases in Azure.

Optimize performance of SQL queries, views, functions, stored procedures, triggers, and indexes.

Implement backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies (e.G., Always On, Geo-Replication).

Monitor and troubleshoot database performance and connectivity issues.

Collaborate with development teams to support database design and integration.

Automate database deployment and maintenance processes using Azure DevOps or similar CI / CD tools.

Ensure database security, compliance, and access control policies are enforced.

Required Skills :

7+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or Developer.

Strong knowledge of Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Storage.

Experience with T-SQL, SSIS, and performance tuning.

Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines and automation scripting (PowerShell or ARM / Bicep).

Understanding of database security and encryption best practices.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred :

Experience with SQL Managed Instances and Elastic Pools.

Healthcare Expereience

Exposure to NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB) is a plus.

• Microsoft certifications such as DP-300 or Azure Database Administrator Associate.
