Job Description :

Please find below JD Indirect taxation

Coordination with clients and local state associates for PAN India GST Compliance.

Preparation verification review and filing of periodic GST tax returns of large corporate clients.

Regular updating of GST notification circular and relevant case laws.

Assisting in drafting opinions and replying to Show Cause Notices.

Preparation of reports for one time GST assignments.

Study and analysis of various documents and agreements to determine the GST taxability.

Assistance in preparation of data and details for GST department audits.

Attending GST department representation and hearings.

Training junior team members during execution of assignments

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients understanding their taxation needs and providing tailored solutions.

Act as the primary point of contact for clients on tax-related queries and concerns.

Direct Taxation Advisory & Compliance :

Provide advisory on direct tax matters such as income tax corporate tax GST and international taxation.

Handle tax compliance work including preparation and filing of income tax returns TDS and other related documents for clients.

Assist in structuring transactions from a tax efficiency standpoint and advise on the tax implications of business strategies.

Tax Litigation Support :

Represent clients in tax assessments appeals and litigation proceedings.

Prepare submissions attend hearings and liaise with tax authorities for client matters.

Provide guidance on dispute resolution and effective litigation strategies.

International Taxation :

Support clients in cross-border tax matters including transfer pricing double taxation treaties and international tax planning.

Assist in compliance with regulatory frameworks and international tax laws.

Tax Research and Updates :

Stay updated with the latest tax laws regulations and compliance requirements both domestically and internationally

Conduct tax research to address specific client issues and provide accurate tax advice.

Planning & scheduling the statutory audit assignments

Independently finalizing the statutory audit assignments (including group reporting)

Leading & motivating the team & ensuring high quality delivery

Assisting in developing audit planning documentation addressing scope audit objective budgeted hours resource plan and reporting date.

Successfully complete assigned audits addressing all audit objectives conducting client and status meetings as required controlling monitoring and reporting on audit progress reviewing

work papers and ensuring work papers provide adequate support of conclusions while complying with internal standards for documentation.

To monitor the assignment for improving the efficiency of the assignment manage audit in relation to time and resource budget.

Will actively check that all findings and issues are documented and perform close down procedures.

Gathering and compiling information and data. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including good presentation and report- writing skills.

Develops and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

Provides recommendations for strengthening controls.

Ability to deal well with ambiguity and constant change as well as working independently.

Performing research and analysis of transaction tax related laws (such as domestic and international tax corporate laws SEBI FEMA Competition Act stamp duty laws etc.) on inbound and outbound deals corporate reorganizations securities market aspects etc.

Performing research on tax theory and positions and apply them to specific client needs.

Preparing deliverables capturing implications arrived based on above research in word PowerPoint excel or email form as required.

Performing direct tax diligence (this involves scrutinizing past tax issues record compliance etc. of the target) and capture the facts and analysis in a diligence report.

Using and applying the right tax practice processes and tools to be as efficient as possible in the work Keeping a track on latest developments and share articles on industry trends.

Maintaining and keeping up to date records of internal documents / working papers.

Assisting in Preparing training presentation on recent regulatory developments.

Supporting knowledge sharing efforts and improve processes so that the work team can capture and leverage knowledge. Networking internally within the peer group and other levels in the firm in order to gain understanding of issues that may impact issues with his clients.

Ensuring compliance with risk management strategies plans and activities.

Following up on billing collection etc.
