Description

We are seeking a Senior Engineer - BIW-P at NISSAN in India who will be responsible for the design and development of body-in-white (BIW) systems for our upcoming vehicle models. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in automotive engineering, with a focus on BIW design, and will contribute to innovative solutions that enhance vehicle performance and safety.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement body-in-white (BIW) design solutions for new vehicle models.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of BIW systems with overall vehicle architecture.
Conduct structural analysis and optimization of BIW components to meet safety and performance standards.
Participate in prototype development and testing to validate designs and processes.
Provide technical support during the manufacturing process and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

3-8 years of experience in BIW design and development in the automotive industry.

Proficient in CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or equivalent.

Strong understanding of materials used in BIW applications and their properties.

Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools and techniques for structural analysis.

Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and quality standards.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with different departments.
