Job Summary :
The O&M Executive will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, monitoring, and upkeep of ground-mounted solar power plants. The role ensures uninterrupted plant performance, timely issue resolution, safety compliance, and achievement of targeted generation.
Key Responsibilities :
Plant Operation & Monitoring.
- Monitor daily plant performance, generation data, and equipment health.
- Identify abnormalities through SCADA and on-site inspections.
- Maintain logbooks, checklists, and shift reports.
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance.
Conduct routine preventive maintenance of inverters, transformers, modules, and electrical panels.Perform corrective actions for breakdowns and ensure timely restoration of plant operations.Coordinate with the technical team / vendors for major repairs.Site Inspections & Housekeeping.
Conduct regular field walks to check string issues, hotspots, module cleaning, vegetation, and safety hazards.Ensure module cleaning and vegetation control as per schedule.Safety & Compliance.
Ensure 100% compliance with safety protocols, PPE usage, and statutory norms.Report incidents, near-misses, and implement corrective preventive actions.Documentation & Reporting.
Prepare daily / weekly / monthly O&M reports.Document maintenance activities, spares consumption, and breakdown records.Support audits and inspections.Team Coordination.
Supervise site technicians, module cleaning teams, and contractors.Coordinate with the central O&M team for technical guidance and material requirements.Required Skills & Competencies :
Strong knowledge of solar PV systems (modules, inverters, transformers, LT / HT panels).Ability to troubleshoot electrical and plant-level faults.Good communication and reporting skills.Proactive, disciplined, and safety-conscious.Qualifications & Experience :
Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or related field.1–3 years of experience in O&M of solar power plants (ground-mounted preferred).
