Role & responsibilities
Business Acquisition
- Acquires new customer for liability accounts and third party products by effectively managing the sales unit
- Strives for cross-selling all products alongside the core product
- Develops and continuously upgrades new innovative sales channels & techniques to maximize productivity
- Strategies with CBL on prospecting and efficient & effective approach to client segments
- Derives insights to competitor sales activities and effectively counter the efforts
Team Management
Manages and motivates the sales team through support with lead generation and sales closureProvides regular training on products and selling skills to the sales unitPartners with respective HCM RM to Recruit staff for sales unit as and when requiredEvaluates training programs available and recommend the appropriate programs for differential training needsQuality Focus
Implements the sales monitoring mechanism to measure the productivity of the teamMonitors the quality of sourcing of products to evaluate developmental needs of the sales teamDrives the sales system towards quality standards where risks are well controlledSets business standards for acquisition and effective cross sellPeople Management
M onitors and enables the achievement of goals and key performance indicators for direct reports and ensures effective implementation of performance management process in the section.Ensuring Training & DevelopmentDevelops talent within the team by providing guidance, ongoing feedback, coaching and development opportunities to individuals to enable achievement of the defined goals.Risk and Internal Control Responsibilities
Follows risk policy and processes to mitigate the operational, regulatory, financial, informational, reputational and audit risks as instructed by the departmental manager.Executes the established internal control systems and compiles relevant information for departmental audits, as necessary.Skills Required
