Deputy Manager - Strategic Sourcing & SCM - Kagal

• To ensure ‘In full & on Time’ availability of components to production lines. Responsible for Bar turn, Valve train, Rubber components procurement & availability on time in full.
• Communicating components schedules as per the production plan. Plan and procure material as per MRP / BPR o Raising the purchase orders to suppliers.
• Follow up with suppliers for supply of components. Monitoring daily delivery performance of suppliers through BPR signals
• Communicate change in production plans to suppliers.
• Lead Buffer Penetration Report (BPR) System implementation at supplier end. Ensure maintenance of buffers at suppliers basis material consumption patterns.
• Coordinate with the logistics team & making of transport arrangements where KOEL is responsible for logistics of components.
• Co-ordination for QCD issues with supplier and QCD issues with supplier and supply chain management. Communicating quality issues to suppliers & arranging sorting & rework activities. Resolving day to day quality issues in coordination with RQA and SQI.
• Coordination with stores and RQA for unloading and inspection.
• Coordination for BOM related issues with central planning & production.
• Monitor and control premium freights. o Monitor and control raw material inventory as per pre-defined inventory norms.
• Periodic supplier visits where ever necessary. Initiate corrective preventive actions for critical parts and critical suppliers.
• Ensure suppliers are complying with mandatory EMS & OHSAS requirements & timely compliances of GST, NDC, Balance confirmation.
• Control over cost related to Premium Freights. Monitor Share of Business allocated in case of dual suppliers. Communication of any non-compliance w.r.t. implementation of IMS to CMR / MR / Department Head. Obtain MSDS for chemical / hazardous material during procurement if applicable. Take corrective & preventive actions from suppliers and close CARs.
• Coordinate rework / rectification of parts with production / QA. Periodic quality reviews with problematic suppliers if necessary.

Qualification

B.Tech / B.E in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
