BitesVilla Private Limited is an early-stage e-commerce and food-tech company building a home-cooked food delivery platform using modern cloud technologies. The platform connects local home chefs and cloud kitchens with customers through mobile and web applications.

Role Overview

We are hiring a QA Automation Engineer (Entry-Level) to support functional and non-functional testing of our APIs, web applications, and mobile applications. The role involves manual testing, test automation, and supporting test execution within CI/CD pipelines. This is a remote role and requires availability for full-time working hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional and non-functional testing for APIs, web applications, and mobile applications
• Execute manual API tests using Postman
• Develop and maintain automated test cases for API and UI workflows
• Execute automated tests as part of CI/CD pipelines
• Maintain and improve the existing test automation framework
• Document test cases, test scenarios, defects, and test flows
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams on quality improvements
• Support test reporting and test result analysis
• Gain exposure to cloud technologies used in the platform (e.g., AWS)

Required Qualifications

• Education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript
• Understanding of REST APIs
• Understanding of software testing fundamentals (SDLC, STLC)
• Familiarity with manual testing concepts
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Preferred Testing Qualifications (Nice to Have)
• Experience with API testing using Postman
• Exposure to automation tools or frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Rest Assured, Mocha, Chai)
• Familiarity with mobile application testing
• Basic understanding of performance testing concepts or tools (e.g., k6, JMeter, Locust)
• Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins)
• Basic knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle)
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
