Roles & responsibilities :
- Interface with Technical Managers, Developers, and Build Experts to understand technical and business complexities and translate them into effective IT solutions.
- Consult with management, customers, and staff to recommend and implement process and procedure improvements.
- Lead and provide technical guidance on projects, foster teamwork, and manage multiple delivery work streams.
- Identify, mentor, and guide less experienced team members; resolve highly complex production problems and escalations.
- Design, develop, and deliver end-to-end data solutions, including architecture design, proof of concept, coding, test planning, and deployment.
- Support and uphold enterprise architecture and design standards, ensuring adherence across all data engineering efforts.
- Engineer across multiple platforms and technologies such as DB2, UDB, SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, BI Tools, ETL, CDC, and application servers.
- Define systems software and hardware requirements and specifications, coordinating integration of systems and subsystems.
- Take accountability for components of data management, data integration, and information systems, including installation, configuration, administration, performance evaluation, and enhancement.
- Develop and execute scripts to improve operational efficiency of systems and subsystems.
- Test and debug software, including SQL and infrastructure components, and modify or debug vendor utilities and packages as needed.
- Diagnose, isolate, and resolve software and system issues; perform root cause analysis and implement solutions.
- Ensure quality, security, and compliance requirements are met for all supported areas; oversee creation, updates, and testing of business continuity plans.
- Modify, install, and prepare technical documentation for system software applications and solutions.
- Create user support guides and uphold documentation standards, procedures, and approval hierarchies.
- Stay current with advancements in hardware, software, and best practices; evaluate vendor-supplied software and recommend improvements.
Experience Required :
Minimum 7 years of experience in specific domains, systems and infrastructures, subsystems, and application integration.At least 5 years of experience acting as a lead engineer for major systems and their subsystems, overseeing complex computer applications and / or application initiatives.In-depth, advanced knowledge across key domains, including data integration, systems programming, and information management.Comprehensive expertise in industry-leading solutions and technologies relevant to the applicable domain.Advanced proficiency in information and data services, as well as multiple high-level programming and query languages.Strong understanding of the organization’s information and application systems, and how these systems interrelate.Demonstrated strong analytical, judgment, and problem analysis techniques.Excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills, with exceptional attention to detail.Proven ability to understand client and stakeholder expectations and resolve issues that may impact solution delivery.Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization.Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and train engineers, supporting the growth and development of the team.Experience working with geographically distributed teams and across different time zones.Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to learn beyond formal training and a strong aptitude for delivering high-quality products.Possession of one or more globally recognized certifications and credentials in relevant technology domains is preferred.Competencies :
