Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate at Vasu Law Firm, located in Ahmedabad. The Associate will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, managing case files, and providing legal advice to clients. The role also involves representing clients in court, negotiating settlements, and ensuring compliance with legal standards. The Associate will work closely with senior attorneys and support them in complex legal matters.

We are inviting Applications for the following positions for Ahnedabad.

1. Associate (Litigation)

Positions- 1

An ideal candidate must have a valid bar license and experience of 1-2 years before the District Court, City Civil Court, Consumer Forum, RERA etc. Strong knowledge of CPC, Consumer Laws, NI Act is required. The Candidate must be willing to learn and adopt to the fast-paced environment of work. The Candidate must have a strong research and drafting skills with proficiency in using software like SCC, Manupatra, etc.

Candidates proficient in Gujarati are preferred.

1. Associate (SEBI)

Position-1

An ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of share market and commercial laws. Only candidates with an experience of 0-6 months SEBI or corporate laws are eligible to apply. The candidate must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and complete the work within strict deadlines. Candidates with strong command over the language and excellent research and drafting skills should apply.

1. Legal Interns

Positions- 2

Law students who are in 3rd year or above in case of 5 year integrated program and 2nd year and above in case of 3 year LLB are eligible to apply. The candidates must have prior internship experience, good research and drafting skills. Candidates showing strong willingness to learn are preferred.

The firm is started by Jyotish M Vasu, who has almost 46 years of experience in handling litigation before the Gujarat High Court, Commericial Court , City Civil Court, Debt Recovery Tribunal, SEBI, RERA as well as various other authority. The firm deals majorly deals in matters of SARFAESI Act, SEBI Act and its regulations, Consumer and Commercial Litigation, Contracts, RERA, Media and Entertainment laws and Trademark.

Qualifications

• Strong legal research and analytical skills
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and managing case files
• Experience in litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Knowledge of legal practices in areas such as Banking & Finance, Corporate Commercial Matters, Real Estate & Construction, and Intellectual Property is advantageous
• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from an accredited institution; an advanced degree (LLM) is a plus
• Membership in the Bar Council of India
