Role Overview :
As a mid-level DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for operating, scaling, and securing cloud-native infrastructure, focusing on Linux, Kubernetes, virtualization, and automation.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement CI / CD pipelines, strengthen security, and ensure reliable deployments across environments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Administer Linux servers (RHEL / CentOS) with tuning and hardening.
- Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Red Hat) and ensure HA / DR.
- Configure and operate storage systems (LVM, NFS, iSCSI, object stores).
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters (ingress, RBAC, storage integrations).
- Build automation scripts in Bash / Python for operational workflows.
- Operate SQL (MySQL / PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB / Redis) databases.
- Implement observability with system metrics, logging, and alerting.
- Support CMS deployments (Drupal / WordPress) across staging / production.
- Ensure security hardening, patching, and compliance across infrastructure.
- Collaborate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, releases).
Required Skills & Experience :
Solid Linux administration and troubleshooting.Good knowledge of VMware / Red Hat virtualization.Kubernetes cluster administration and CI / CD pipeline management.Database experience in SQL and NoSQL with basic optimization.Proficiency in scripting for automation (Bash required, Python desirable).Familiarity with observability tools and capacity planning.Security practices (TLS, firewalling, vulnerability remediation).Preferred Certifications :
RHCSA / RHCECKA or CKADVMware VCPCloud admin certifications (AWS / Azure)(ref : hirist.tech)
