The Impact You’ll Make

Implements and maintains an Engineering Change Notice System. These changes will include product improvements, repairs, and new product development. Coordinates the interaction between engineering, manufacturing, field operations, and marketing to ensure appropriate changes are documented.

What You’ll Do

• Understand the incoming obsolescence issue raised in the Product Lifecycle Management platform (iPLM)
• Perform assessment of the reported obsolescence issue by working with suppliers, manufacturers and other internal cross functional teams to get the root cause of the proposed change.
• Identify best possible alternate solution (alternate part or additional inventory) for the obsolete part.
• Perform FFF and inventory analysis for the obsolete component.
• Work with different manufacturers, suppliers, distributors to get technical details and clarifications for the obsolete and replacement parts.
• Get material quotes from open market suppliers, brokers for hard-to-find components.
• Communicate the findings to engineering teams and work with engineering teams to address any questions and queries from engineering.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer / supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer / supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
