Role : We are seeking a senior DBA specializing in Redis Data Integration (RDI) and Redis Enterprise to design, implement, and operate real-time data integration pipelines from source systems (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Kafka, etc.) into Redis. The role includes HA / DR architecture, performance tuning for memory-first workloads, CDC / streaming patterns, security hardening, observability, and leadership across migration and modernization programs.

Key Responsibilities :
- Architecture & High Availability
- Design end-to-end RDI pipelines for CDC and streaming ingestion into Redis Enterprise / OSS.
- Engineer HA / DR for Redis (Cluster, Sentinel, and Redis Enterprise Active-Active / CRDTs), including cross‑DC replication and geo‑redundancy.
- Define persistence strategies (RDB, AOF, AOF rewrite), durability SLAs, and storage / I / O tuning for high-throughput workloads.
- Capacity planning and sizing (memory, shards / slots, network, disk I / O), and performance SLOs.
- Data Integration & CDC
- Implement CDC / streaming from relational sources (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL / streams (Kafka, MongoDB) into Redis using RDI connectors.
- Model data structures in Redis (Strings, Hashes, Sets, Sorted Sets) and modules (RedisJSON, RedisSearch, RedisTimeSeries, Bloom) to support cache-aside, read‑through / write‑through, and event‑driven patterns.
- Develop schema mapping, transformation logic, error handling, idempotency, and replay strategies.
- Establish exactly-once / at-least-once delivery semantics where relevant; manage back-pressure and rebalancing.
- Administration
- Install, configure, and upgrade Redis Enterprise (and Redis OSS where applicable) on Linux (RHEL / CentOS / Ubuntu).
- Manage cluster operations : sharding, failover policies, role-based access, and client resiliency.
- Implement backup & recovery SOPs : scheduled RDB dumps, AOF management, filesystem snapshots (LVM / ZFS), and DR drills.
- Performance & Optimization
- Optimize memory footprint, eviction policies (nodeviction / volatile- / allkeys-), maxmemory, and fragmentation control.
- Tune ingestion throughput (pipelining, batching, TCP settings), and reduce latency under load.
- Identify / remediate hotspots : big keys, skewed slot distribution, slowlog entries, blocking commands, long-running Lua scripts.
- Benchmark environments using redis-benchmark and workload replay; analyze bottlenecks across pipeline stages.
- Security & Compliance
- Enforce TLS / SSL, ACLs, strong auth / rotation, network isolation, and configuration baselines.
- Integrate with enterprise auth (LDAP / AD / Kerberos) as applicable; secrets management and audit trails.
- Align with compliance requirements (PCI / ISO), including encryption-at-rest via OS / storage layers and data retention policies.
- Observability & Automation
- Implement monitoring / alerting using Prometheus + Grafana (redis‑exporter), RedisInsight, and pipeline metrics.
- Build runbooks; automate provisioning / config / maintenance using Bash, Python, Ansible (Terraform optional).
- Define SLIs / SLOs for latency, throughput, hit ratio, memory fragmentation, failover MTTR, and persistence lag; set error budgets.
- Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with application teams on cache strategies, TTLs, and data modeling; guide adoption of Redis modules.
- Lead incident response, RCA, and preventive actions; mentor junior DBAs / engineers.
- Drive modernization initiatives (legacy cache replacement, Oracle / PostgreSQL offload to Redis), version upgrades, and capacity growth.

Your work profile
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.9–15 years of DBA experience with strong hands-on Redis / Redis Enterprise and data integration in on‑prem production.Proven experience designing and operating RDI pipelines for CDC / streaming into Redis.Deep knowledge of HA / DR (Redis Cluster / Sentinel / Enterprise Active‑Active), persistence (RDB / AOF) , and performance tuning.Proficient in Linux administration , networking, and storage / I / O fundamentals.Strong scripting / automation (Bash, Python) and configuration management ( Ansible ).Experience with observability ( Prometheus / Grafana , redis‑exporter, RedisInsight ).Desired qualifications
Experience with Oracle-to-Postgres migration using EDB tools.Knowledge of pgBouncer , pgpool-II , and advanced PostgreSQL extensions (PostGIS, TimescaleDB).Certifications : PostgreSQL Professional or EDB Postgres Advanced DBA.Location and way of working
