Job Purpose :
The Junior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the bookkeeping and tax filing processes for our clients, many of whom are based overseas, predominantly in Cayman Islands. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple clients effectively.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Accounting and Audit
- Receive bank statements, invoices (both incoming and outgoing), and other supporting documents from clients on a monthly basis.
- Update transactions in the accounting software Tally ERP.
- Generate financial statements as needed.
- Perform yearly financial closure and prepare financial statements.
2. VAT
Assess VAT liability for each client and register them when the threshold limit is reached.Ensure timely VAT return filings for registered clients and coordinate payment arrangements.3. Corporate Tax
Register corporate tax for all clients (all registrations have been completed up to date).Prepare and file corporate tax returns before the due date (immediate deadline is 30.09.2025). Qualifications :1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
