Workday Functional – Key Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain Workday modules (HCM, Time & Absence, Payroll) for low-to-moderate complexity tasks.
- Build and support Workday Business Processes (e.g., Onboarding, Change Job, Termination).
- Develop and maintain calculated fields and custom reports.
- Support Tier 1 team by resolving escalated issues and providing fix recommendations.
- Maintain and update security groups, permissions, and access control.
- Assist in Workday functional testing and deployment of minor enhancements.
- Document configuration decisions and maintain process documentation.
- Configure and manage Workday templates, documents, questionnaires, and custom alerts.
- Support regulatory compliance through correct payroll and time tracking configuration.
- Collaborate with SMEs and other functional stakeholders for requirement gathering and solution validation.
Workday Technical – Key Responsibilities
Own and manage the entire Workday lifecycle from hire to retire.Lead research, design, development, testing, and deployment of new Workday functionality.Coordinate cross-functional efforts to support new product launches in Workday.Act as the primary representative for the Workday platform across all HR applications.Optimize employee experience through improved processes and system interactions.Collaborate with business and People Engineering teams to align on goals and technical solutions.Identify and implement opportunities to automate or improve Workday processes.Monitor platform performance and proactively resolve technical issues.Maintain documentation and best practices for Workday configuration and architecture.Provide Workday subject matter expertise during audits, upgrades, and implementations.
