Data Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong SQL, ETL, and Data Warehouse expertise to design, build, and manage scalable data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in T-SQL, SSIS, ETL / ELT frameworks, and data modelling (Kimball) , along with knowledge of database administration, DevOps practices, and agile project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage data pipelines for large-scale data processing.
• Implement ETL / ELT ingestion patterns using on-premise and cloud-based tools.
• Develop and optimize stored procedures, tables, views, extracts, and reports using SQL.
• Apply data modelling approaches (Kimball / dimensional modelling) for warehouse design.
• Perform query optimization, performance tuning, and database administration tasks.
• Ensure data security with permission models (Active Directory, role-based access, encryption, masking).
• Work with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) to build ETL workflows.
• Use DevOps practices for code repository management, CI / CD pipelines, and containerization.
• Collaborate with agile teams for timely delivery of RetailBI Data Warehouse datasets and reporting requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation and conduct peer reviews.
