Qualifications and Skills

Experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle (Mandatory skill) databases and their related tools and technologies.
Proficiency in Linux / Unix (Mandatory skill) operating systems for database environments.
Skilled in using pgAdmin (Mandatory skill) for database administration tasks.
Familiarity with Data Pump for data migration and management processes.
Competence in utilizing RMAN for backup and recovery of databases.
Understanding of CI / CD Tools to automate and streamline deployment processes.
Strong analytical skills to monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to database optimization.

Roles and Responsibilities

Manage and maintain PostgreSQL or Oracle databases ensuring their availability, performance, and security.

Implement database changes following best practices and company protocols to ensure data integrity.

Monitor database performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency.

Perform regular backups and ensure recovery procedures are tested and documented.

Collaborate with development teams to support application development and deployment processes.

Ensure high levels of data availability and data integrity by conducting routine database maintenance.

Implement and enforce database security guidelines and policies.

Provide technical support and training to end-users when needed.
