Sr Product Manager Merchandising
What you will be doing Our Merchandising Product team is searching for a Senior Product Manager to lead the Partner set up and management module in Albertsons Partner Portal. The Sr Product Manager will lead the development of the Product Strategy and vision of the platform which will be leveraged by Albertsons internal users and external partners. This person will be responsible for envisioning features and functionality that provide differentiation in the market and competitive advantage for Albertsons, raising the bar for our internal and external stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams like Category Managers, Buyers, Data Governance, Compliance, Analytics and Engineering teams to develop innovative solutions. Your expertise in product management, combined with a deep understanding of the retail and grocery industry, will be instrumental in enhancing our alternate revenue strategy.

Main responsibilities
Who would be an ideal candidate?
- Champion the needs of customers, merchants, vendors, business teams, and stakeholders throughout the product development cycle, ensuring that what is delivered meets user needs.
- Research B2B data product markets, develop points of view on trends in data products and analytics, study strategic partnerships, develop relationships with new prospective partners.
- Manage the full product lifecycle - defining features, writing specifications and measurement metrics and iterate through A / B Testing and data-centric designs
- Develop plans and articulate strategic direction, vision, and priorities.
- Develop long-term roadmap for Albertsons Partner Portal, in partnership with the other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Translate goals, plan and progress into clear terms for stakeholder alignment and leadership buy-in.
- Interview and hold workshops with suppliers, internal merchants, developing personas, journeys, stories and more product development artifacts that advance the product.
- Build and manage stakeholder relationships to influence and drive change
- Advance level knowledge in the development and use of product data to inform product decisions both quantitative and qualitative
- Deep understanding of retail customer problems, how they think and operate
- Foster strong relationships with external partners and vendors to enhance product offerings
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify root causes, evaluate complex data, and develop practical solutions.
- Strong desire and adaptability in acquiring new skills and tools to enhance productivity and solve problems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to credibly engage at all levels - from merchants and department specialists to technical teams and executives.
- Prior experience building B2B Data Platforms for large retail organizations.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or similar required, or equivalent experience; Master's preferred.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in Product Management, preferably in e-commerce / internet in Platform product management within Retail or Technology organization.
