Role - Research and Engineering Scientist

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Research and Engineering Scientist role at Zoho Corporation is responsible for high quality research in the field of Computer Science Engineering and Technology. Research areas include Compilers, Computer Architecture, Programming Languages, Data Structures & Algorithms, Operating Systems, Computer Networking, Data Security, Cryptography & Network Security, Image processing, Malware Analysis, Cloud computing, Software Engineering, Web Technology, Artificial Intelligence (Machine Learning, Deep learning, Generative AI, etc), Machine vision Technology & Intelligence, Design of Mechatronics System, Industrial Automation & Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Robotics and other emerging technologies.

Excellent self-organization and attention to detail is necessary to balance multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks as needed. The duties and responsibilities in this role include the following:

Research Requirements

• High level of innovation and motivation to perform independent research.
• Engaging in independent research and technology learning as required.
• Collaborating across teams in research and product development.

System Design Development

• Drafting technical documents on system design and technology. Maintaining accurate and detailed records of system design, technology, and novel aspects.
• Reviewing technical documents and providing insightful technical analysis.
• Generating technical specifications, review reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external communication (e.g. Publications , Patents etc.).

Project Execution

• Working on projects across multiple stages: concept ideation, novelty identification, and system design.
• Completing assigned tasks & projects accurately and on time.

Other Functions and Skills

• Performing miscellaneous tasks to support team functioning.
• Advanced language and communication skills for documentation and presentation.
• Continuously improving skills and updating knowledge to meet responsibilities.

We are looking for skilled individuals with expertise in one or more of the above mentioned research areas, and preferably with publication experience.
