Job descriptionBachelors degree in Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronics Engineering. 10–18 years of experience in I&C engineering for in a design and engineering firm, preferably in the Hydrocarbon Industries Experience with major automation vendors (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Emerson, Yokogawa, Honeywell, ABB), is highly desirable Previous Owner's Engineer / PMC experience preferred but not mandatory Strong review and problem-solving capabilities, with focus on innovation Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders and challenge contractor deliverables constructively. Knowledge of advanced automation and Industry 4.0 tools is a plus. 20–30% international travel plus domestic site visits. US B1 / B2 Visa holder preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Review various I&C deliverables (instrument index, datasheets, logic diagrams, cause & effect matrices).
- Ensure compliance with ISA, IEC, and other international standards.
- Validate control philosophies, safeguarding logics, and integration of safety systems (SIS, ESD, F&G).
- Review vendor documents for DCS / PLC / SIS systems and field instruments.
- Support FAT, SAT, and pre-commissioning / commissioning activities.
- Provide oversight on cybersecurity and digital integration aspects.
- Ensure long-term maintainability and operability of control systems.
