Job description

Develop and implement efficient dispatch schedules, considering production plans, order volumes, delivery deadlines, and transportation availability.

Coordinate with production, sales, and customer service teams to ensure smooth order processing and timely delivery.

Optimize dispatch routes to minimize transportation costs and delivery times.

Manage and prioritize urgent orders to meet customer requirements.

Oversee the selection and management of transportation providers (trucking companies, etc.).

Negotiate transportation rates and contracts, ensuring cost-effectiveness.

Monitor transportation performance, addressing delays or issues promptly.

Monitor inventory levels and communicate potential shortages or overstock situations.

Participate in stocktaking and reconciliation activities.

Maintain accurate dispatch records, including delivery notes, invoices, and transportation documents.

Prepare reports on dispatch performance, including on-time delivery rates, transportation costs, and other key metrics.

Ensure all documentation is compliant with regulatory requirements.

Supervise and train dispatch staff, loaders, etc.

Enforce all safety regulations and procedures related to dispatch operations.

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to the handling and transportation of bio fertilizers.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization in dispatch operations.
