Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Chennai for an IP DRG Coder. The IP DRG Coder will be responsible for coding inpatient medical records utilizing ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulatory and reimbursement requirements. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing patient records, assigning appropriate DRGs, collaborating with clinical staff to gather accurate documentation, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and experience in ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding systems
• Proficiency in assigning DRGs and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing patient records
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with clinical staff
• Familiarity with EHR systems and coding software
• Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines
• Coding certification (e.g., CCS) is preferred
• Previous experience in an inpatient coding environment is a plus
• Bachelor&aposs degree in Health Information Management or related field, or equivalent experience
