Data Management Specialist in our Operations Department

Were seeking someone to join our team as an Operations Director in Legal Entity Reference Data Services (LERDS) within Client Onboarding & Regulatory Departments (CORDS). The selected candidate will oversee client onboarding processes at Morgan Stanley manage a team work to ensure operational efficiency and be responsible for the management and accuracy of client data.
In the Operations division we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Team Supervisor position at Director level within the LERDS team. The team operates from Glasgow Baltimore and Mumbai handling global requests.

What youll do in the role :
Create or update client issuer and vendor records by analyzing approved sources and documents for key operational and regulatory data.
Maintain reference data with ongoing analysis and due diligence to keep records current.
Process Corporate Actions (e.g. name changes mergers) by verifying against approved sources and updating all relevant records and hierarchies.
Work with business units and stakeholders to ensure compliance review new process and data quality requests and support remediation as needed.
Update internal systems with required documentation and conduct data quality checks & ensure high accuracy and uphold data quality standards.
Serve as the primary supervisor within specific line or project area with accountability to associated risks
Manage direct reports leading 1 : 1s and career development attracting and retaining high quality talent in line with our leadership commitments
Review resources to ensure adequate coverage to deliver BAU commitments highlighting current and future needs to manager
Share expert knowledge across the team contributing to team output and ensuring diverse viewpoints are heard What youll bring to the role :

A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is generally required to develop the skills necessary for this position.
The candidate must have graduated from a recognised institution.
Experience with transformation tools such as Power BI Alteryx and UI Path is beneficial.
This position is located in Mumbai.
