Align is currently seeking a Microsoft 365 Information Analyst to join our Digital Workplace Experience (DWE) team. As a M365 Information Analyst, you are at the forefront of data governance and management within the organization. Your role revolves around ensuring that Microsoft data assets are effectively governed, secure, and compliant. Here’s a deeper dive into what this position entails : In this role, you will… Contribute to strategic discussions regarding building and expanding the information protection as well as the broader information governance practice. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, Infosec and IT. Translate business to functional requirements. Define and communicate as-is and to-be processes. Create documentation, including diagrams, plans, and configuration guides. Perform thorough testing, as needed. Provide guidance and recommendations on process improvements. Actively participate in defining and refining data lifecycle processes. Monitoring data usage patterns and ensuring data availability. Occasional additional hours in the evening or weekends as necessitated by workload, project timelines, or meetings with global team. In this role, you’ll need … Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 6+ years’ experience in Enterprise IT / IS Service Organization Minimum 3 years of experience in information governance, content management, or related roles. Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Exchange, and Purview product family Experience of data lineage, metadata management, and data cataloging. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions. Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standards exist. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Strong written communication, analytical, research, interpersonal and problem-solving skills required. Self-motivated and flexible with the ability to work effectively and independently in a dynamic problem-solving environment. Preferred Qualifications Understanding of industry compliance regulations and their impact on content management Familiarity with UX principles for content optimization Professional experience of data classification, metadata management, and data cataloging Experience in implementing security and / or compliance solutions for M365 including Microsoft 365 Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Information Protection, Microsoft Cloud Application Security, sensitivity labels, & data classification Foundational knowledge of Insider risk management, Records management.
