Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Procurement Manager - Ground Mounted Solar Projects, located in Mumbai. The Senior Procurement Manager will be responsible for supplier evaluation, procurement, contract negotiation, and contract management. The role involves analytical tasks to ensure efficient procurement strategies and day-to-day management of procurement processes for ground-mounted solar projects.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Procurement Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for all critical project packages in line with project timelines and budgets.
  • Coordinate with design, engineering, and project teams to finalize BOQs and technical specifications.
  • Plan material sourcing schedules and ensure alignment with project milestones.
  • Build and maintain an updated procurement tracker for all ongoing and upcoming projects.

2. Vendor Development & Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors for solar PV modules, inverters, MMS, cables, transformers, and other project items.
  • Manage the end-to-end vendor relationship—RFQ floating, bid evaluation, price comparison, negotiation, and order finalization.
  • Maintain a vendor performance database, focusing on quality, delivery, and commercial performance.
  • Develop alternative sourcing channels to mitigate supply chain risks and ensure competitive pricing.
  • 3. Commercial & Contract Management

  • Lead techno-commercial negotiations and prepare purchase orders and contracts in coordination with legal and finance teams.
