Technical Accessibility Specialist

About this role

We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and technically skilled professional to support a blind Data & Appliance Analyst working within a global Cloud + AI organisation.

This is not about doing the work for the client, but about enabling them to do it—bridging accessibility gaps in fast-paced, highly technical environments.

You'll work closely with the Analyst to provide visual interpretation, data summarization, and navigation assistance within platforms such as Azure Portals, Excel, and Visual Studio. We use JAWS and VoiceOver screen readers.

Key responsibilities include reviewing, interpreting, and making basic code changes, creating and managing spreadsheets for data tracking and analysis, utilizing formulas, pivot tables, and other Excel tools to streamline workflows, assisting in converting and formatting documents to meet accessibility standards, summarizing meetings, managing task follow-ups, and tracking progress in collaboration with team members.

Required skills and qualifications

• Basic coding knowledge
• Understanding how code is structured and able to identify components like classes and functions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Comfortable working with large data sets and using intermediate Excel functions
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to provide support in a clear, professional manner
• Maintain clear, professional communication in English, both written and verbal
• Willingness to learn
• Openness to training in accessibility standards and related tools
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG)
• Comfortable working in a high-speed technical environment with urgency and frequent task-switching
• Detail-orientated with strong multitasking and follow-up skills
