Java API Engineer - Microservices Architecture

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, build, and deploy scalable and secure APIs using Java for cloud-native applications.
• Develop and manage Docker-containerized applications for cloud deployment.
• Work with RESTful and SOAP-based web services, ensuring robust integration between systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop solutions, and implement best practices.
• Contribute to automated testing, code reviews, and continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) processes.
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scalability in cloud-based environments.
• Provide technical documentation and support for deployed Skills & Qualifications :
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Java software development.
• Proven expertise in building APIs for cloud environments.
• Experience with Docker containerization.
• Preferred experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP); experience with AWS or Azure is also acceptable.
• Strong understanding of REST and SOAP web services.
• Experience with cloud-native development, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices is a plus.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Qualifications :
• Knowledge of CI / CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Exposure to monitoring tools and log management (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams.
