Factory Medical Officer (FMO)
Experience - 06 to 12 Years
1. Medical Examinations & Certifications
- Pre-employment Examinations : Conduct medical screenings for new hires to ensure physical and mental fitness for their specific roles.
- Periodical Medical Examinations (PME) : Perform regular health check-ups for existing staff, with a focus on those in hazardous environments, to detect early signs of occupational illness.
- Statutory Record Keeping : Document all examination results and test data in the official health register (e.g., Form No. 7 ).
- Certification of Fitness : Issue formal findings regarding a worker‘s fitness for specific processes. If a worker is deemed unfit, determine and record the necessary recovery period.
- Re-employment Clearance : Conduct re-examinations for workers returning from medical leave or those previously declared unfit to certify their readiness to resume work.
2. Emergency Response & Clinical Care
Emergency Assistance : Provide immediate medical intervention and stabilization during workplace accidents or medical emergencies.First Aid Oversight : Supervise the maintenance, stocking, and accessibility of all first-aid boxes and medical stations across the premises.Pharmacy Management : Manage the inventory, storage, and distribution of medicines as prescribed by attending physicians.3. Preventive Health & Compliance
Occupational Health Management : Monitor workplace standards to ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations.Preventive Programs : Design and lead health initiatives, including employee education on disease prevention and wellness.Sanitation & Hygiene : Oversee workplace sanitation standards to maintain a healthy environment.Data Confidentiality : Maintain meticulous, confidential health records for all employees, covering treatments, incidents, and examinations.Strategic Collaboration : Partner with management and safety officers to develop and improve site-wide health and safety policies.
