Please Note : This is a part-time employment role, and the incumbent will be a direct employee of Societe Generale GSC, with the option to work reduced hours.

We are Seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Trainer for Securities Operations to join our central Training & Expertise team for Global Banking. This role will be instrumental in delivering structured training programs for India and France, focusing on Equities and Bonds and back-office operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Trade Operations including Settlements, Fails management, Pre-matching, Corporate Actions, Change Management, Treasury Management & Depot / Nostro reconciliation

The incumbent should be fluent in English, and have experience in training delivery, content development, and cross-border collaboration.

Key Responsibilities :

Training Delivery & Coordination

Deliver engaging and effective training sessions (virtual / in-person) on trade finance operations, including :

  • Trade Settlements
  • Reconciliations
  • Corporate Actions

Letters of Credit (LCs)

Conduct onboarding training for new joiners and refresher / upskilling sessions for existing staff in India and France.

Deliver role-specific and process-based trainings across levels

Curriculum Design & Content Development

Develop and maintain up-to-date training content (presentations, e-learning modules, handbooks, SOPs) tailored to local and French operational contexts.

Translate or adapt materials where necessary to accommodate French-language documents and processes.

Incorporate real-life case studies, process simulations, and regulatory updates into training modules.

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with business leads, compliance, and operations heads to identify training needs and develop competency frameworks.

Act as a training SME (Subject Matter Expert) for both internal stakeholders and cross-border counterparts.

Quality & Compliance

Support the enhancement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards.

Track training effectiveness through assessments, feedback surveys, and KPI dashboards.

Ensure timely and accurate record-keeping of all training activities, certifications, and staff progress.

Process Improvement & Best Practices

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying gaps in process knowledge, recurring errors, and areas of training needs.

Participate in process mapping, audits, and knowledge transfers related to new processes and transitions.

Profile Required :

Education & Experience :

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or equivalent. A Master’s / MBA preferred.

6–10 years of experience in Securities Operations and at least 2+ years in a training or knowledge management role.

Prior experience in banking back-office operations is essential.

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of Equities, OTC Derivatives and Bonds.

Fluency in English is mandatory.

Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Proven ability to develop training materials, conduct workshops, and manage LMS platforms.

Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to simplify complex processes.

Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills across geographies.
