As a Mortgage & Deposits Finance Analyst within the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, you will influence outcomes for the business and challenge performance. You will be an integral part of our efforts to promote growth and efficiencies and maintain financial reporting. By providing information, analysis, and recommendations to improve results and promote decisions, you will ensure the company can navigate all types of market conditions while protecting our fortress balance sheet.
Job responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to the business by providing analytics and guidance which drives business development and aids in the execution of key business initiatives
- Understand and evaluate the financial impact : changes in yields, pipeline projections, sales, product mix, and impacts
- Take active role in the forecasting process, its improvement / automation, and in articulating the drivers of revenue and balance changes
- Continuously improve the way we do business through review of current practices / processes, identifying deficiencies and / or weaknesses, and delivering solutions to enhance the current control framework of the business, particularly through innovation employing automation technology
- Execute on ad-hoc requests from various stakeholders and senior management (e.g., various business senior leaders, both AWM and USWM organizations, etc.)
- Create efficiencies through automation & process reengineering
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Minimum of CA or an MBA in Finance is requiredAdvanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, Tableau and Alteryx.Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and SQLExperience in US Mortgage & deposit products and FP&AAbility to take ownership and work independentlyInteract and communicate clearly and confidently with all levels of management, including senior management within the Global Private Bank & Asset and Wealth ManagementDetail oriented, strategic thinker with skills in analysis, data synthetization, and acute decision makingHighly organized and structured ability to prioritize and time manage is crucialPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Proficiency in LLM / AI tools (Thoughtspot & Databricks) is a plus2+ years of work experience, preferably in Financial Services, and / or accounting / controller backgroundSense of urgency : being more proactive than reactive, and ability to complete tasks / requests in timely matter are keyTeam player with the ability to be respected as a trusted partner for the Business, Finance, and FP&A TeamsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions conciselySkills Required
