Tableau Server Architect (Minimum 8+ Years of Tableau Server Architecture experience)

Tableau Server Architecture & Administration

• Design, deploy, and manage Tableau Server / Cloud environments across development, test, and production tiers.
• Define and implement architecture for high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and load balancing.
• Manage Tableau Server installations, upgrades, migrations, and patches (Windows / Linux environments).
• Configure Active Directory integration, SSL, and SAML / SSO authentication mechanisms (e.g., Okta, Azure AD, Ping).
• Administer licenses, user roles, and group permissions in line with organizational security policies.
• Establish governance frameworks for content publishing, data source certification, and folder / project structures.
• Define and enforce row-level security (RLS), data access policies, and auditing mechanisms.
• Implement monitoring and alerting systems for performance, usage analytics, and resource consumption.
• Develop and manage automated deployment pipelines (CI / CD) using Tableau REST API, TabCmd, or Python scripts.
• Integrate Tableau with external data sources (Snowflake, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, AWS Redshift, etc.) and governance tools (e.g., Alation, Collibra).
