Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and results-driven Social Media Executive / Manager with experience in the Media and Education sector . The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our social media strategy to enhance brand visibility, promote educational initiatives, and engage diverse audiences across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with institutional goals and brand guidelines.

Create, curate, and manage engaging content (posts, reels, videos, stories, infographics) across all major platforms Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X (Twitter) .

Collaborate with the creative, academic, and PR teams to ensure consistent messaging and tone.

Plan and manage digital campaigns to promote educational programs, events, and media initiatives.

Handle social media advertising , including budgeting, targeting, and performance tracking.

Monitor analytics and prepare monthly reports on social media performance, engagement, and reach.

Manage online reputation respond to comments, messages, and reviews promptly and professionally.

Identify trends and insights to improve engagement and audience growth.

Work closely with video editors, designers, and content writers to create impactful posts and campaigns.

Support live events , interviews, and video promotions for institutional activities and media programs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelors degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or related field .

25 years of proven experience in social media management (preferably in the Media or Education domain).

Strong understanding of social media analytics, algorithms, and tools (Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, etc.).

Creative mindset with good copywriting and storytelling ability.

Basic knowledge of graphic design (Canva / Photoshop) and video editing (Premiere Pro / CapCut) .

Excellent communication skills in English ; Tamil knowledge is an added advantage.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, media-driven environment .
