Role Overview -
We are seeking a highly driven and creative Senior Design Manager to lead end-to-end product development for new and evolving categories for CULT under Performance Sports wear-Men+Women. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of technical fabrics, strong aesthetic sensibility, and a consumer-first mindset. You will be responsible for transforming unmet consumer needs into innovative, functional, and brand-aligned products—from initial concept to final execution.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead Design Direction : Own the design strategy and seasonal roadmap for Overall performance wear- Training+Running categories, in line with overall brand direction and market opportunity.
- Concept to Execution : Drive the complete product lifecycle—from concept development, mood boards, and silhouette ideation to final design execution and production handoff. Linesheet creation with right print+graphic developments color balancing, style detailing basis the Core, Core+ and fashion design offering. The design range execution to be as aligned with business tasks along with new product ideas with newness in styling, fabrication and functionality POV.
- Consumer-Centric Design : Translate deep consumer insights into product solutions that address real lifestyle and performance needs. In built the user feedback process during design development and created products to solve consumer needs.
- Technical Expertise : Leverage in-depth understanding of technical fabrics, trims, and construction techniques to build innovative and functional product ranges. The product ideas to be competitive to market, best in performance and aligned with cult’s product strategy.
- Brand Alignment : Ensure every design communicates the brand’s value proposition clearly and elevates brand identity through thoughtful design decisions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with Product, Sourcing, Marketing, and Merchandising teams to ensure product relevance, timely execution, and commercial success.
- Innovation & Trend Research : Stay ahead of global design, material, and lifestyle trends. Bring fresh inspiration and progressive ideas to fuel product innovation. Ensure there's good balance of Global brand inspirations, competition brand references and ideas from conducting market survey.
- Presentation & Storytelling : Build compelling design presentations that include visual storytelling, technical specifications, and competitive benchmarking during all the design presentations.
Required Skills & Experience :
8–10 years of experience in apparel design, preferably with exposure to performance / active sports wear, outdoor, or lifestyle categories.Strong understanding of technical / performance fabrics and their functional applications.Proven track record of taking product from concept to market with commercial success.Excellent eye for detail, design differentiation, and user-centric solutions.Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to drive cross-functional alignment.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, CLO / 3D tools is a plus.
