Proven ability to handle production planning, troubleshooting, and process improvements. Familiarity with capex planning and execution in a manufacturing environment. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Strong knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance within the chemical manufacturing industry.

Job Summary :
The Assistant Manager – Production will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing production processes while ensuring alignment with R&D, QC, and supply chain teams. The role demands effective coordination, process improvement, and adherence to safety and quality standards to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Coordinate seamlessly with the Research & Technology, Supply Chain, and Plant Planning teams to ensure synergy and effective communication across departments.
- Production Scheduling & Monitoring : Oversee batch scheduling as per the production plan, proactively addressing constraints, and ensuring timely discussions with relevant functions to maintain on-time delivery.
- Process Safety Management : Collaborate with the plant team to implement and enhance process safety protocols, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and safeguarding plant operations.
- Standardization & Validation : Ensure standardization and validation of new products as per specifications, maintaining replicability and reproducibility during scale-up in production blocks, with comprehensive documentation.
- Capex Proposal & Execution : Take charge of capital expenditure (capex) proposal preparation and execution, identifying strategic investment opportunities for production facility modernization and growth.
- Quality & Compliance : Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and operational best practices in production.
- Process Optimization : Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, minimize waste, and optimize resource utilization.
- Training & Development : Mentor and train production team members on best practices, safety protocols, and continuous improvement initiatives.
