Job description

Tekla Modeler :

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform grid placements for low-complex structures.
  • Apply complex / manual connections to structural members in Tekla.
  • Identify problem statements and write RFIs / ICMs as per standards in VM.
  • Perform assembly and clash checks for nodes.
  • Prepare CDS (Connection Design Sketches) for areas modeled.
  • Handle simple variations, including drawings, based on project requirements.
  • Conduct self-checking to ensure quality and completeness before handing over to QA.
  • Ensure first-pass quality delivery in line with project requirements.
  • Mentor Junior Modelers and share best practices for efficient modeling and detailing.

Required Skills :

  • Proficiency in Tekla Structures or other detailing software.
  • Strong understanding of structural steel detailing and modeling techniques.
  • Ability to perform clash detection and resolve modeling issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to deliver work with high quality on the first pass.

    • Tekla Checker :

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Review client drawings and project standards and prepare project-specific checklists.
  • QC the first article drawings / connections of complex nature.
  • Finalize E-Plan, AB-Plan, and Embed Plan.
  • Prepare Erection and Fabrication (EOR) notes and ensure proper placement on drawings.
  • Ensure execution of the DBMV (Design-Based Model Validation) process at the checking level.
  • Suggest automation opportunities to improve efficiency in the process.
  • Identify problem statements and write RFIs / ICMs (Request for Information / Internal Change Memo) as per standards in VM.
  • Track RFIs and DCNs (Design Change Notices), ensuring timely resolution and closure.
  • Stay updated with the latest checking procedures and perform related tasks as needed.
  • Mentor and share knowledge with Junior Checkers to deliver high-quality output.

    • Required Skills :

  • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
  • Knowledge of Tekla Structures and standard drawing practices.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with teams and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Familiarity with RFIs, DCNs, and other project documentation.
