Software Development Engineer II - Test - Automation Testing

The SDET will be part of the Viewpoint team at Trimble and play a key role in ensuring software quality through automation, regression testing, and scalable test frameworks.

You will work in an Agile environment, supporting both mobile (iOS / Android) and web applications, building robust test suites using modern QA tools and technologies.

This role demands a hands-on approach to automation using C#, working closely with developers, product owners, and testers to maintain high standards for software releases.

You will be responsible for implementing test strategies, automating key scenarios, and improving CI / CD testing workflows for the Viewpoint solutions that power construction productivity across the globe.

What You Will Do.

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using C#, Appium, Selenium, and relevant frameworks.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks for web and mobile platforms (iOS and Android).
• Leverage tools like Sauce Labs for cross-platform testing at scale.
• Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and product owners to define test strategy and acceptance criteria.
• Design and execute functional, regression, performance, and integration tests for RESTful APIs and UI workflows.
• Set up and maintain test environments, mobile simulators, and CI test pipelines.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and release retrospectives.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain traceability from requirements to test cases and defects.
• Generate test metrics and dashboards to track quality over time.
• Recommend and implement process improvements for test automation and release quality.

You Will Collaborate With Experienced Engineers Working On.

NET Core / Framework, Angular, Azure Services, and Microservices.

Reporting Structure.

This role reports to a Technical Project Manager, Engineering Manager, or designated team lead within the Viewpoint team.
