Job Description

Will be responsible for different phases in design process from Prescope activities to Product launch.

Working from dimensional concept to new concept generation based on engineering design requirement.

Creating 3DCAD Design of products parts assemblies and subassemblies including detailed drafting

dimensioning and tolerancing using NX 2007. Product design based on DFM and DFA principals as per

Nexteer standard Practices and procedures.

Planning and executing mechanical designs using Siemens NX CAD. Strong Knowledge in Sheet metal

Stamping Components design tooling & manufacturing. Plastic knowledge is added advantage.

Responsible for engineering calculations for basic stress and strength calculations 3D Simulation for various

components. Tolerance stackup Analysis and GD&T.

Responsible for Project management activities including BOM management EDN ECN Design

freeze / release in PLM Team Center

Working closely with CAE team towards design optimization

Work effectively with a crossfunctional team of individuals on complex problems

Work effectively with Supplier Quality / Manufacturing to ensure designs are efficient for manufacturing and

able to meet quality requirements.

Closely work with Lead Engineer developing the System requirements into proven functions with the right

quality within minimum time and with cost effective solutions.

Execute basic to moderately complex engineering designs with limited guidance.

Effective and clear communication via design reviews of concepts to foster detailed discussions to

reach conclusions.

Provide and communicate creative solutions to problems.

Documenting the design process and future iterations
