Social Impact Research Assistant

Job descriptionBackground or interest in public policy, economics, sociology, law, education, AI, and society (students and early professionals welcome). Strong writing and synthesis skills; proficiency with Google Docs / Sheets. Bonus : R / Python or STATA; fieldwork experience; proficiency in an Indian language in addition to English. Curiosity about equity—perspectives from marginalized communities are especially valued. Certificate of Contribution (LoR possible based on output). Named credit; authorship on select outputs meeting contribution thresholds. Mentorship, weekly check-ins, and access to our research templates / toolkits.
Research Collaboration Opportunity
We are seeking motivated individuals to collaborate on a pan-India study examining the impact of rapid AI adoption on future work and social mobility.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct literature reviews, prepare concise evidence memos, and support data collection (remote).
- Assist in designing surveys and interview guides; contribute to analysing findings (basic quant / qual) and drafting policy briefs & research notes.
- Map sectoral use-cases across various domains (law, education, health, gig work, public services, etc.).
- Ensure research ethics are upheld (consent, privacy) and maintain accurate documentation.
