Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and seasoned professional to join one of our valued clients as an assistant Contracts & Procurement Manager. This leadership role demands a strategic thinker with a sharp commercial acumen and a proven track record in overseeing comprehensive contract and procurement functions across diverse projects.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Tender & Contract Award
- Prepare contractor requirement schedules and update as per project progress
- Shortlist and pre-qualify contractors
- Coordinate contract service requests and initiate tendering
- Draft tender documents, float tenders, and manage pre-bid communications
- Conduct bid evaluations, negotiations, and finalize contractors
- Draft LOA / LOI and conduct kick-off meetings
- Issue work orders and ensure contractor mobilization
Post-Award Contract Administration
Manage contractual correspondence and change ordersCoordinate with execution teams for drawings, schedules, and performance trackingConduct weekly progress meetings and maintain MOMsEnsure contract closure post Defects Liability PeriodMaintain MIS logs and documentationDispute Resolution & ClaimsResolve disputes and support arbitration processesPrepare statements of claim and assist legal teamsAnalyze and cost claims, brief counselsVendor Development & Procurement
Build and maintain vendor relationshipsImplement vendor certification systemsSource materials, float tenders, and finalize suppliersTrack deliveries and certify billsKey Skills & Knowledge
Strong understanding of Civil, MEP, and Finishing worksExpertise in contract conditions, FIDIC, EPC, and Indian Contract LawProficiency in MS Office and MS ProjectKnowledge of IS codes and market trendsExcellent planning, decision-making, and conflict resolution skillsClaims and change management experienceInterested & relevant candidates can share their profile at
