Location :  Gurugram

Department : Projects

Experience Required : 5–10 Years

Qualifications : B.Tech / M.Tech in Civil Engineering

Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and seasoned professional to join one of our valued clients as an assistant Contracts & Procurement Manager. This leadership role demands a strategic thinker with a sharp commercial acumen and a proven track record in overseeing comprehensive contract and procurement functions across diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Tender & Contract Award

  • Prepare contractor requirement schedules and update as per project progress
  • Shortlist and pre-qualify contractors
  • Coordinate contract service requests and initiate tendering
  • Draft tender documents, float tenders, and manage pre-bid communications
  • Conduct bid evaluations, negotiations, and finalize contractors
  • Draft LOA / LOI and conduct kick-off meetings
  • Issue work orders and ensure contractor mobilization

Post-Award Contract Administration

  • Manage contractual correspondence and change orders
  • Coordinate with execution teams for drawings, schedules, and performance tracking
  • Conduct weekly progress meetings and maintain MOMs
  • Ensure contract closure post Defects Liability Period
  • Maintain MIS logs and documentation
  • Dispute Resolution & Claims
  • Resolve disputes and support arbitration processes
  • Prepare statements of claim and assist legal teams
  • Analyze and cost claims, brief counsels
  • Vendor Development & Procurement

  • Build and maintain vendor relationships
  • Implement vendor certification systems
  • Source materials, float tenders, and finalize suppliers
  • Track deliveries and certify bills
  • Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of Civil, MEP, and Finishing works
  • Expertise in contract conditions, FIDIC, EPC, and Indian Contract Law
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project
  • Knowledge of IS codes and market trends
  • Excellent planning, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
  • Claims and change management experience
