Position Overview

The General Manager – Production will lead the end-to-end manufacturing operations of the company, ensuring consistent production output, quality, safety, and efficiency. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing plant operations, implementing process improvements, managing teams, and ensuring alignment with company goals for productivity and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership : Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring smooth production schedules, efficient resource utilization, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
Process Optimization : Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize costs.
Team Management : Lead and mentor production, maintenance, and quality teams (approx. 50 staff) to foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence.
Quality Assurance : Ensure products meet company and customer quality standards through close coordination with the QC / QA departments.
Planning & Scheduling : Collaborate with planning, procurement, and sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and effective inventory control.
Maintenance & Safety : Oversee preventive maintenance programs and promote a strong EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) culture within the plant.
Reporting : Monitor KPIs, prepare regular performance reports, and present operational insights to senior management.
Compliance : Ensure all operations adhere to statutory and regulatory requirements, including pollution control, factory laws, and ISO standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Production Management (preferred).

10–15 years of experience in chemical or allied process industries, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or plant head role .

Proven experience managing mid-sized manufacturing teams and production facilities.

Strong knowledge of chemical production processes, ETP operations, and safety protocols.

Experience implementing ISO, Lean, or TPM systems preferred.
