The Data Engineer will be responsible for development, transformation and ongoing quality management of business data objects sourced from a wide range of internal / external systems with differing storage types.
Required Skills :
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles and techniques
- Proficiency in SQL coding, including complex queries, joins, and subqueries.
- Knowledgeable with data warehousing concepts, including ETL processes, dimensional modeling, and data mart design.
- Knowledge of or experience in data vault methodology
- Knowledge of SQL and experience working with enterprise data warehousing systems
- Experience in requirements gathering, including eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
- Ability to develop and optimize stored procedures for data manipulation and transformation.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in Agile / Scrum methodologies or working in Sprint-based development teams.Proficiency in using Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Birst, PowerBI, and Tableau for data visualization and reporting.Familiarity with modern Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) and Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) processes and tools.Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS)A Day in The Life Typically Includes :
Develop and enhance modeled Data Sets within visualization tools.Collaborate with the Data Analyst team to understand visualization requirements and assist in building visualizations and dashboards that meet business needs.Ensure the security and integrity of published data by implementing appropriate access controls and data protection measuresRole : Data Engineer
