Backend Lead - Golang

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Lead to join our Centre of Excellence (COE) team. This is a leadership role where you will be responsible for driving backend architecture, development, and delivery of scalable solutions across multiple client engagements. The position demands strong technical expertise, architectural depth, leadership acumen, and a hands-on approach to development using Java or Python, with added preference for those experienced in Temporal.io.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead backend architecture & development across multiple client projects within the COE framework.
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and high-performance APIs and microservices to support diverse business use cases.
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, DevOps teams, architects, and product managers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and technical excellence.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and performance optimization.
• Contribute to the CI / CD pipeline, deployment automation, and backend infrastructure improvements.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide root cause analysis with sustainable solutions.
• Engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical Skills :
• 7+ years of backend development experience in Java or Python.
• Proven expertise in microservices architecture and distributed system design.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous workflows and event-driven patterns.
• Temporal.io experience (minimum 1 year acceptable).
• Hands-on expertise in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong database skills with SQL & NoSQL technologies.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Prior experience leading backend teams or driving project deliveries.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization Skills :
• Exposure to delivering solutions for multiple clients within a COE setup.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI / CD, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Working knowledge of event-driven architectures and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
