Requirements

Requirements for the Advanced Mech Design Engineer for Engine Systems and Components Analyses in Engines and Power Systems are the following :

Job Description : Integral part of GTE, APU and EP product development (PD) with mechanical design and structural analysis activities to reduce PD CT and cost with design and qualification by analysis.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering with 5-7 years of experience
• Good Aero Gas Turbine Engines (GTE) & APU product knowledge. Prior work experience in design and development of composite applications is preferred.
• Sound knowledge in Conventional and Composite materials, Solid Mechanics, Vibrations & Finite Element Analysis
• Experience in thermal, strength, vibration, fatigue & composites structural analysis of Aero engine & APU components, sub-systems & systems
• Proficiency in linear & non-linear stress analysis using ANSYS, ANSYS WB & NASTRAN
• Should be able to work independently, develop analysis methods and drive design improvements
• Should be good at problem solving, mentoring the project teams, ensuring flawless execution, talent development and multi-tasking
• Should be a team player with good interpersonal & networking skills
• Strong communication & articulation skills
• Good customer focus and drive growth, IP & design solutions
• Agile mindset with focus on speed and cycle time improvement initiatives
